About me
I created Friend On Call because I wanted to build what I didn’t have at a time I needed it the most. A couple years ago, I was on the verge of losing my job, losing my marriage, losing hair, gaining weight, and I didn’t enjoy living.
I had a psychiatrist, I had coaches, I had hobbies, I had family, but what I didn’t have was a person that allowed me to be myself and enjoyed who I was at that moment.
At that time in my life, I wish I had a charismatic, fun, insightful, accepting person to talk to, that didn’t have to evaluate me or give me a prescription.
What was missing wasn’t resources. It was presence without performance. Essentially, I wanted to reproduce myself as my own best friend to talk to.
That’s what Friend On Call is. It’s what I needed when I had everything except someone who made me feel like I belong.
